Who are we

In the beginning, the story of Othniel Ruiz Carbajal and Marlene Díaz Pinillo was that of two souls in search of a new start. Othniel, a Mexican who left his country in 2006 to escape poverty, and Marlene, a Cuban who fled the communist system in 2011, arrived in the United States with a common goal: to forge a better life.

In early 2025, in Lawrenceville, Georgia, a shared purpose united them: to establish a brand that would transcend borders and prejudices. From this vision, Somos Mafia was born, a brand officially registered with the USPTO that uses the word "mafia" not in its criminal sense, but as a bold and powerful metaphor.

For Othniel and Marlene, Somos Mafia symbolizes loyalty, unity, brotherhood, and strength. Their mission is to create a community that celebrates collective success, bringing together people of diverse backgrounds, races, religions, and professions.
